Ingredients
- 75 grams of butter cold from the fridge
- 250 grams flour
- Two cucharadas Azucar
- Five tablespoons water
- 1 kg black plums
- Two tablespoons of strawberry jam
- 50 grams avellanas
- One huevos
Brown sugar and icing sugar to taste to spread over the preparation.
Recipe Preparation
In the beginning, we make the dough and mix the butter from the fridge with the flour until it is well mixed.
Next, we add the sugar to the mixture and knead.
Finally, we add the water and continue kneading until we get a uniform dough. We cover it and reserve it in the fridge.
Now we have to prepare the filling. First, we wash the plums well, remove the bone, and cut it into slices without peeling.
Next, we take out the dough reserved in the fridge and stretch it with a rolling pin. I like it with a round shape, but I leave your creativity free.
Once stretched, put it on an hour of paper in its tray. In the center of the dough, we add the remaining ingredients in the following order: strawberry jam, toasted hazelnuts and cut plums.
The next step is to paint the edges of the dough with beaten egg, and we are closing folds or folds.
Once the folds are made, we again paint the edge with the egg. Next, we sprinkle the brown sugar and the icing sugar.
Finally, we bake for 30 minutes at 180 ºC.
Recipe Notes
Let it cool down, and enjoy this delicious recipe.
Recipe tips
- To roll out the dough with a rolling pin, spread the table with flour so it does not stick. If you have a kneading machine, follow its instructions.
- Spread the strawberry jam well over the dough with a spoon making circles to distribute it well.
- The butter is recommended that it is cold from the refrigerator so that it mixes with the flour and has an earthy texture.
- We can also make the shortcrust dough with whole wheat flour. In this way, these dessert recipes are even healthier. Whole wheat flour has certain benefits that refined flour does not have. However, with refined flour, the shortcrust comes out more crisp.
- The ingredients added to the dough must be separated from the edge so that folds can be made.
- To paint the edge of the dough with the egg, it is recommended that we use a kitchen brush. In this way, the egg spreads better.
- When we take this preparation out of the oven, it is advisable to wait until it is cold before eating it.
- I hope you like the plum galette.
